Never read this thread until now. Very interesting.
I think the WTS flubbed the dub when they emphasized the Jesus is Mediator of only the 144,000 doctrine. The WTS should have just broad stroked it to be Jesus is still the Mediator for all faithful JW's, but technically only the 144,000 are in the New Covenant. I actually found it offensive for them to be so dogmatic in their view of this. IMO.....these types of teachings started pushing the JW's more into the cult catagory.

Yesterday Grandpa died a faithful JW.... or was he.
by cyberjesus inyesterday at 3 am my grandfather.. 95 more or less... passed away after a heart attack... i got the call at 8 am.
so i am the oldest grandson (out of 40) he was faithful, (thats what they want to say) reality is he wasnt, he cursed, he drank, he had plenty of women during his life.. he was an elder at some point and he was ultra good with everyone.
he had a heart of gold... he treated me as his son, he never cared about my status.

Stop Putting Apostate Stickers On My Literature! They "Cost Lots of Money!"

do you know how hard it is to get up at 6:00 am and how expensive those magazines are costing the organization to print?
please stop defiling our literature, i dont post hateful stickers on your website so please leave my magazines alone.

Nathan Knorr's Oath of Allegiance Card
Nathan Knorr the Watchtower Society president from 1942-1977 signed the allegiance oath below to obtain a passport. When faced with a similar situation the Watchtower Society did not let the Malawi JW's buy the political party card under the theocratic warfare pretense. The refusal of the Malawi JW's to buy the political card let to the rape, torture & death of many JW's there. Would it have really been a greater sin for Malawi JW's to buy the political party card? Would there really have been that much difference in the Malawi JW's buying the political card, compared to Knorr taking the oath of allegiance below in other to obtain a passport? The Watchtower Society could just have easily declared theocratic warfare and the Malawi JW's could have obtained their lives. Evidently in the wacky world of the Watchtower religion it was okay for Knorr to take the oath below- Believe It or Not.

by hamsterbait inwe all know that beth hell monitors this site.. they have repeatedly had sites shut down for quoting large portions of their litterature.
